Thank you all so much for the comments from the last post. I really appreciate the good feelings sent over the net. What a great online community. I'm always amazed with the support and good will of my fellow artists. Someday I hope to meet you all, so for the moment, please know of my sincere thanks.

So, after I finally got to read my email, out of the blue, I found an email about the Nicktoons Film Festival. Long live shorts and anyone who promotes them. Check out the sites. They themselves are pretty groovy. I'm just passing on the info. Here's the note from the email.....

$10,000 Film Fest Prize for Animation

The Nicktoons Film Festival is accepting animated shorts (up to 10 minutes in
length), between now and May 31, 2006 for its annual competition. Shorts
selected for the fest air on the Nicktoons channel during August and one will
be selected to win a $10,000 Grand Prize. Judges include Seth MacFarlane of
Family Guys fame. Any medium of animation is acceptable: flash, traditional
cel, stop-motion or CG. For more info go to:

Bag Lady

I'm very happy to see Dave Pimentel blogging. Not only is he one of the story heads, but he also teaches our gesture drawing class at Dreamworks, and boy is he good. Walt Stanchfield was his teacher and now we are lucky enough to have him pass on the knoweledge to us. Very, very lucky. So go look and give him some love. His drawings are amazing, poses beautiful, and I'm really glad he's sharing his work now to all.

Ok, enough arse'n around with the random sketches and half thoughts. Have a finished illustration for a change.
